Tips on relief of severe back pain,without pain pills?

I’m 17 and am on baclofen,lyrica,and hydrocodone/apap,and just took a pain pill an hour ago,it hasn’t helped yet! Also,i have spina bifida myelomeningocele but can still walk,and have tethered cord which i’m waiting to be scheduled Can anyone please help!!!!!?

Thanks:) But,my doctor said i can’t get a referral or anything until i get my tethered cord surgery:(

you can request a PT referral for aquatics…we’ve seen success in this area….but you can’t play in the pool after surgery until the incision is healed, completely….you can request a referral prior to your surgery though, & see how it helps you…better off finding a facility that has their own somewhat individual pools, & can accommodate you entering & exiting the pool (usually a lift), & an aquatic trainer besides the PT assessment…call around & just ask if the facility has a pool & if they have worked with your diagnoses…you can also get a referral from your doc…good luck!!
You need your surgery scheduled ASAP.
